Want to Create Better Products for Your Users?

The Best Experiences start with The Right Research.

What is User Experience Testing?

User experience testing establishes how easy or intuitive an app, website, or product is to use by testing it with a select group of users. Users are asked to complete tasks while a qualified Classhouse UX expert observes them to see which features or elements cause problems or confusion. The results of these tests are then used to make improvements and help future users reach their goals more easily.

You should consider User Experience Testing:

  • If you want to test a product before going to market or approaching investors

  • If you want to receive feedback from real users.

  • If you want to create a better product experience for users.

  • If you want to uncover opportunities for new features.

  • If you want to learn more about a diverse target market.

Any technology team that cares about creating a better product should consider user experience testing.

Why conduct User Experience Testing?

User experience testing helps companies create products that are easier and more enjoyable to use. It gives you great insight into how an end user will experience your product or site, and what they like or dislike. Here’s what UX Testing can do for you:

Focus the project team

Your team will receive feedback directly from the target audience, providing clear direction and focus.

Resolve internal debates

Issues can be tested in real life to evaluate various options on the table during the ideation or early development stages.

Launch with confidence

User experience testing reveals problems and issues before the product is taken to market so that improvements can be made.

Different Types of
User Experience Testing

There are several approaches to take when it comes to user experience testing, each with its own advantages and disadvantages.

Moderated

During moderated tests, a moderator is present to guide users through the various tasks. During unmoderated tests, users are observed in their natural environment, and there is no moderator present. Moderated tests may be more expensive but allow for more detailed observation and questioning.

Unmoderated

In-person tests provide extra data points because the research team can observe body language and facial expressions more closely. It is, however, more expensive and time-consuming than remote testing, which is becoming far more common (and effective).
